Fandoghi pistachio is the most productive and economical type of Iranian pistachio, widely consumed in domestic and export markets due to its suitable size, round and uniform shape, and flavorful kernel.
Features of Fandoghi Pistachio:
• Appearance: Round and smaller compared to other types, with a light shell and naturally split (smiling). Its uniform appearance makes it ideal for industrial processing and packaging.
• Kernel: Smaller than varieties like Akbari or Ahmad Aghaei, with a sweet taste and reddish hue.
• Size: Sizes include 28-30, 30-32, and 32-34 nuts per ounce.
• Taste: Sweet, tasty, and oily; suitable for raw consumption, roasting, and food industry use.
• Cultivation Area: Mainly grown in Kerman province (Sirjan region).
